Watch Michael Jackson’s new music video for ‘A Place With No Name’ which premiered on Twitter at midnight last night. It features rare behind-the-scenes and outtake footage shot during the production of Michael’s 1991 music video In the Closet. It is the first music video to premiere on Twitter – and arrived on Wednesday 10PM, EST – 3am Thursday in the UK. Lucky fans in New York City got to see the video on the huge Times Square screen at the same moment it launched on Twitter.
During his career Michael was always on the cutting edge of tech advancements, so the fact that he is the first person to have launched a music video on Twitter shows that he continues to set the pace of pop culture. Amazing.
The video is a beautiful short film directed by the award-winning director Samuel Bayer (Nirvana, Rolling Stones) and tells the story of a man who is enticed to a magical ‘place’ by a mysterious woman. This ‘place with no name’ is a utopian location where “no one is in fear” and “no people have pain”. The outtakes footage, that has been kept in the vault since 1992, combines perfectly with the new material.
The song may sound familiar to you because it is Michael’s re-envisioned version of the 1972 classic A Horse With No Name.
A Place with No Name is taken from the posthumous album Xscape which reached Nº1 in 52 countries. The first single from the album Love Never Felt So Good achieved 17 Nº1s and 67 top 5 positions around the world. The album is his 50th top 10 Billboard hit making Michael Jackson the first artist to ever have a Top 10 hit in each of 6 consecutive decades.

Gorgeous George, with his gorgeous Deep South baritone folk voice, rhythmic guitar strumming and tongue-in-cheek lyrics, had us at hello when we first listened to his debut album, rich with crisp and upbeat melodies and full-throated choruses. Indeed, the album is chirpy, charming, soulful and oh so full of gusto.
George Ezra, the 21 year-old from Hertford who went to music college in Bristol, who came fifth in the BBC sound of 2014, and who has been topping the charts across Europe with his hit single “Budapest”, released his debut album, “Wanted On Voyage”, in June earlier this year. Ezra took inspiration from the journals he kept whilst traveling and busking his way across Europe and based most of the songs on his album on his experiences. Full of adventure, “Wanted On Voyage” feels fresh, vibrant, enthusiastic and tirelessly energetic.

“Blame It On Me” kicks off the album with a blazing start, with its powerful vocals that scream out Ezra’s self-confidence as a singer-songwriter. It’s quite remarkable how quickly he has us captivated and wanting more. And he sure gives us more with “Budapest”, a simple folk song with a foot-tapping baseline, in which Ezra’s solid vocals take centre stage as he tells the story about a man willing to give up everything for the one he loves, singing “for you, I’d leave it all/ Give me one good reason why I should never make a change”. Despite the single’s recycled lyrical content, Ezra strikes an authentic note, and we can’t help but adore his sweetness and sincerity.

This bleeds into “Cassy O’”, a song that, at first glance, just doesn’t seem to make any sense at all, whose narrative is absurd, and whose lyrics read, “I travelled to Australia and I travelled there by train”. But, in fact, “Cassy O’” is a song about the unalterable passing of Time. Ezra sings: “the bastard face kept changing and the hands they wouldn’t stop”. The track is fun, enthusiastic and powerful, and is catchy as hell.

Ezra beautifully strips it back, with his lovely and nostalgic ballad “Barcelona”, one of his more traditional songs on the album, followed with the playful track, “Leaving It Up To You”, in which Ezra contemplates an ex and her “half-wit of a boyfriend” and expresses “it’s a damn good job he isn’t here or I might have wind up harming your darling”. Ezra unexpectedly falls into an exquisite falsetto as he sings the chorus “leaving it up to you”.

“Did You Hear The Rain?” is one of Ezra’s older tracks, a stunning a cappella version of the deep dark delta blues atmosphere he adopts from his peers, and with a taste of Woody Guthrie and Bob Dylan. Ezra literally howls, and sings, “you can try and run and hide, tearing at the chain oh, Lucifer’s inside”. The song is interesting and soulful, with full-blown instrumentation; it’s incredibly catchy, and has a bottomless sound.

While “Stand By Your Gun” takes a slightly different sonic direction, experimenting with electronic keyboard disco sounds and beatbox loops, “Breakaway” takes on a deep, expressive and elegant tone. Ezra opens with bare vocals against a guitar and gradually builds the song up until a gospel choir finally kicks in toward the second half of this staggering song, and produces goosebumps. The song is breathtaking and mournful and we can’t help but play it on repeat.

Ezra closes the album with “Spectacular Rival”, a song that takes on an old western feel, with Ezra’s gloomy and powerful voice reverberating and bringing the album to a spectacular climax. Here, Ezra gives us inkling as to where he’ll be taking his music next, and damn, it’s exciting!

Iggy Azalea & Rita Ora play sexy samurais in their new music video for Black Widow. This mini movie pays tribute to the Quentin Tarantino cult classic ‘Kill Bill’.
Directed by Iggy and Director X, the cinematic visual sees the talented babes taking on their enemies in perfect samurai style. Both of them wear skin tight jumpsuits as they go after Rita’s rude and aggressive boyfriend wielding katanas (the traditionally made Japanese swords). Rita’s boyfriend is played by Kill Bill star Michael Madsen. Also look out for the cameo by T.I.
Both girls underwent two days of training in martial arts before filming began. Rita Ora talked to Esteban Serrano of Fuse TV about the intense training they needed. “It was us learning how to hold a sword, and it was so difficult. It’s like a dance choreography—you’ve got to know when the guy’s about to hit you, so you don’t get knocked out. We put a lot of time into this video; we wanted it to be right, we didn’t want to be two badasses that weren’t really badasses.”
The song’s catchy hook is sung by Rita Ora and the lyrics dance around revenge and feminism in a failed relationship. The track was initially recorded by Katy Perry for her 4th studio album Prism (2013) but in the end was excluded from the track listing and handed to Iggy Azalea to finish. The final version was co-written by Azalea, Perry, Sarah Hudson, Benny Blanco, and its producers StarGate.
The song is already doing well – it’s at Nº19 on the Billboard Hot 100 and is soaring up the Digital Charts 15-8, having moved 100,000 copies. The girls will be performing the song live at the VMA’s.
Black Widow is the 5th single to be lifted from Iggy’s debut studio album The New Classic (2014). It will be officially released on September 14 in the UK.

Con toda la ilusión y ganas de que sea una noche mágica… Marbella, la fecha, toda la expectación que genera Starlite, estamos seguros que lo van a hacer posible.
¿Qué opinión os merece este festival veraniego que cada año hunde más sus raíces en Marbella y en la Costa del Sol? Un lujo que esto ocurra en España y en nuestra Andalucía. Y Marbella es el lugar idóneo para llevarlo a cabo.
¿Es la primera vez que cantáis en Marbella? No, el año pasado mismo tuvimos la ocasión de dar un precioso concierto durante la feria. Y uno de nuestros conciertos más recordados de nuestra carrera fue en la Plaza de Toros de Puerto Banús al que asistieron más de 6.000 personas. Aquello se caía…
¿Cómo creéis que acogerá vuestra música el público de la Costa del Sol junto a los numerosos foráneos nacionales e internacionales que se darán cita en la cantera de Starlite Marbella? Estamos seguros que en esa noche del 20 de agosto, público y artistas, todos, seremos Siempre Así… Nuestra música tiene la peculiaridad de ser como es, folklore de nuestra tierra pero con vocación universal. Este concierto está dentro de una gira maravillosa que ha recorrido los principales escenarios de España contando por llenos cada uno de los conciertos. En Marbella no puede ser menos (risas).
¿Tiene Siempre Así alguna manía o ritual antes de subir al escenario? Bueno, en vuestro caso, que sois ocho artistas, alguno seguro, como mínimo, se santiguará… Santiguarnos seguro… Yo (Rafa Almarcha) en concreto tengo que entrar en el escenario con los bolsillos vacíos, no aguanto ni un papel siquiera.
¿Cómo se presenta la temporada estival en lo que a conciertos y actuaciones se refiere para Siempre Así? A tope, acabaremos este 2014 con más de 50 conciertos por toda España, lo que es una cifra muy importante para los tiempos que corren.
Son muchos años ya en primera línea. ¿Hay algo de cansancio o la ilusión sigue intacta? Absolutamente intacta. Cada concierto es distinto, es una nueva ilusión. El día que no tengamos ilusión nos quedamos mejor en casa.
¿Es difícil compaginar la vida familiar con la profesional en una época tan especial para los niños como es el verano? Un poco sí, porque cuando los niños tienen sus vacaciones es tu época más fuerte de trabajo y apenas los vemos. Pero esto es así, lo tenemos más que asumido y no queda otra.
¿Qué nuevos proyectos tenéis en el horizonte más próximo? ¿Hay ya nuevas composiciones para un nuevo disco? En ello estamos, de momento pensando que disco nos apetece hacer. Porque aunque nunca podemos perder nuestra esencia, esa que nos ha llevado hasta aquí, si es verdad que nuestra música evoluciona y además nos gusta ser valientes y acometer los nuevos proyectos siempre innovando y sorprendiendo.
El pasado 2012 Siempre Así celebró por todo lo alto el vigésimo aniversario de vuestro primer disco oficial en el mercado. Se dice pronto pero 20 años de éxitos como los vuestros en este negocio no es algo al alcance de todos. ¿Qué balance hacéis en lo profesional y personal cuando miráis atrás? Un balance inmejorable… Ni en el más optimista de nuestros sueños podíamos imaginar llegar hasta aquí y de la manera que lo hemos hecho. En lo personal Siempre Así nos ha dado tanto que no cabría una enciclopedia de 20 tomos. De todo, nos quedamos con que nuestra música haya servido para ayudar a la gente a ser feliz en el momento que la escuchan. Y te hablo de enfermos, enamorados, niños, gente de fiesta, yendo al trabajo, o gente que simplemente está en un mal momento anímico y una canción nuestra les sirve para levantar el ánimo.

Uno de los puntos álgidos de la celebración de vuestros 20 años de carrera fue un concierto celebrado en el teatro Rialto (Madrid) donde estuvisteis acompañados de grandes amigos y, por supuesto, de vuestro público más incondicional. ¿Qué recuerdos tenéis de aquel momento? ¿Qué artistas y amigos os arroparon en esa velada tan especial? Toda la gira 20 Años Siempre Así está siendo indescriptible. Hemos recorrido los principales teatros de España desde los de la Gran Vía de Madrid hasta los Palau de la Música de Valencia y Barcelona, pasando por el Romea de Murcia, el Cervantes de Málaga, El principal de Alicante, etc. En ese concierto de Madrid nos acompañaron nuestros amigos José Manuel Soto, Los Morancos, Vanesa Martín, Alejandro Vega y Diego Pantoja.

¿Qué suena principalmente en los coches y en los hogares de Siempre Así? ¿Cuáles son vuestros artistas preferidos y más respetados? Cada uno tiene sus artistas favoritos… A mí (Rafa Almarcha) me encanta cualquier tipo de música que me llegue. Me encantan Diego Carrasco, Lokua Kanza, Niña Pastori, Serrat, Sabina, Alejandro Sanz, Junior Miguez, Chambao, Chopin, Debussy, Fauré, Wagner, etc…

Un poco de historia de la banda. ¿Cómo surge Siempre Así, cuál es el germen del que han nacido grandes éxitos conocidos y bailados por millones de personas durante más de 20 años ya? Desde los 16 años más o menos pertenecimos al Coro de la Hermandad del Rocío de Triana, un coro con mucha tradición en nuestra ciudad donde aprendimos a cantar y entramos por primera vez en un estudio de grabación… Cuando terminó esa etapa me di cuenta que la música era lo mío y les propuse al resto grabar un disco como grupo Siempre Así… Un disco que tuvo una gran repercusión en Andalucía y nos animó a seguir hacia delante, y aquí seguimos más de 20 años después…
¿Cuál ha sido el momento más importante para la agrupación, el punto de inflexión que hace que todo despegue definitivamente? Cuando hubo que tomar la decisión por parte de cada miembro del grupo de dejar sus profesiones para dedicarnos 100% a la música.
¿Cuál es el secreto para que ocho artistas, cada uno con personalidades e inquietudes singulares, sigan siendo grandes amigos fuera y dentro del escenario? Que lo nuestro es verdad… Nuestra amistad es de verdad. Aquí no hay ni trampa ni cartón… Te gustará o no pero lo que nadie puede decir es que somos un producto.
¿Qué ocurre en una celebración o reunión familiar en la que haya algún miembro de Siempre Así? ¿Es fácil que se acabe cantando o poniéndose detrás de una guitarra? Por cierto, ¿hay alguna relación familiar o sentimental dentro de los componentes del grupo? No te creas, estamos tanto tiempo encima de los escenarios que en nuestra intimidad no hay tanta música. Nacho y Maite están casados, y después Paola y yo somos padrinos de un niño de Sandra, Ángel y Paola de los míos, etc…
Muchos de vuestros temas forman ya parte de la historia de la música en España pero, ¿cuáles son las canciones de vuestro repertorio que más os motivan a la hora de interpretar en directo? ¿Coinciden con las que todos tenemos en mente? Cada una tiene su motivación, quizá las que hablan de nuestra amistad, como “Todo lo que ha llovido, “A mis amigos” o “Siempre Así”…

¿El disco del que estáis más orgullosos? Cada uno es como un hijo, “Mahareta” y “Diez y Cuarto” fueron doble disco de platino y sus canciones nos dieron toda la popularidad pero quizá el disco más especial de todos para nosotros sea “La Misa de la Alegría” por su carga de espiritualidad y por cómo se llevó a cabo.
¿Vuestra canción más querida y emotiva? Aquella que hace que los bellos se pongan de punta cuando la interpretáis… “Todo lo que ha llovido”

¿Qué se siente al pasear por cualquier feria o celebración en Andalucía y escuchar alguno de vuestros temas? Algo indescriptible, que nos llena de felicidad.
Antes de irnos… ¿Queréis mandarle algún mensaje a las personas que acudirán a veros dentro de 3 días a Starlite Marbella? Que será una noche inolvidable seguro… Que Marbella siempre ha sido y será un lugar muy especial para nosotros y éste será el concierto más importante que daremos de los más de 50 que tenemos en 2014. El que nos acompañe el miércoles 20 de agosto no se arrepentirá seguro.

Professor Green has unveiled a music video for his new single Lullaby featuring the gorgeous vocals of US singer-songwriter Tori Kelly. It’s pretty strong stuff, you might need the tissues.
The music video follows the story of a young boy growing up with his Grandfather who eventually has a heart attack and dies. It’s a beautiful, heart rending look at losing someone you love and all the emotions that surround it. The lyrics talk about the suicide of Green’s father – a topic that has been aired on both of his previous albums with songs like Read All About It and Forever Falling .
Lullaby is sure to be smash hit, produced by Chris Loco and featuring the vocals of Tori Kelly – the latest protege of manager Scooter Braun. “It is an honour to be on the same song with such a respected artist like Professor Green,” said Tori. “When I first heard Lullaby I knew it would be an amazing opportunity to sing it. Then when I met him and we got to perform it together, it all seemed to sink in. I became even more excited and more in love with the song.”

The 4-minute clip is an intergalactic adventure that pays tribute to Star Wars, Barbarella and the sci-fi B-movies of the ’70s and ’80s. Ariana kicks plenty of alien butt in this campy adventure – she has a laser gun and certainly knows how to use it! Oh yes, she also shoots rockets from her boobs and strips down in an anti gravity chamber…you have to watch this to believe what we’re saying! It’s weird, really weird, but a whole lot of retro fun! For sure, it will spawn a whole plethora of hysterically funny gifs across the internet.
Directed by Chris Marrs Piliero and produced by Zedd, who makes an appearance at the end of the clip, Ariana Grande is a complete Space Babe in this video. Although it’s nothing like her other productions there are a few details that we’ve come to expect – the white knee-high platform boots, her high ponytail, plenty of sultry looks into the camera and the lying-on-the-floor-with-her-hair -fanned out behind her. There’s also the statutory appearance by Beats music app and headphones. But hey, this video doesn’t take itself too seriously which is why we love it!
This is Ariana’s second music video from her new album ‘My Everything’ and sees Ariana break free from her usual pop-R&B genre into EDM and electropop. “I never thought I’d do an EDM song, but that was an eye-opening experience, and now all I want to do is dance,” explained Ariana.
In an interview in May this year Russian-German musician and producer Zedd talked about wanting to collaborate with Ariana after first hearing her voice at a Universal showcase: “I was backstage and I heard someone sing. And I didn’t know who it was, and I just said ‘I want to make a song with whoever is singing right now.’ I didn’t know who it was, and it turned out being her. And luckily, now there’s a song!”

21-year old George has a gravelly, bass-baritone voice that belies his young years – when you first hear it you are convinced he must be at least 40. He was placed fifth in the BBC Sound of 2014 and he puts his own spin on folk and blues. George is an immensely likeable character – just like all the songs on his new album. He is much more than just a unique voice – his song writing ability is outstanding and his smart, playful personality sets him apart from his peers.

Oscar-winning actor and beloved comedian Robin Williams died of a suspected suicide at his home in northern California last night at just 63 years of age. A forensic examination is scheduled for later to finally determine the cause of death.
Robin’s wife, Susan Schneider, led the tributes last night – “This morning, I lost my husband and my best friend, while the world lost one of its most beloved artists and beautiful human beings. I am utterly heartbroken. On behalf of Robin’s family, we are asking for privacy during our time of profound grief.”
President Obama made a statement last night: “Robin Williams was an airman, a doctor, a genie, a nanny, a president, a professor, a bangarang Peter Pan and everything in between. But he was one of a kind. He arrived in our lives as an alien – but he ended up touching every element of the human spirit.”
Robin left behind four finished films that will hit our cinemas over the next year. He reprised his role as Teddy Roosevelt in Night at the Museum: Secret of the Tomb and stars in the Christmas comedy Merry Friggn’ Christmas, due out this November. He had also appeared in the drama Boulevard and provided the voice of Dennis the Dog in Absolutely Anything, due out next year.
The whole of Hollywood, and it seems most of the world, is in mourning for this legendary actor and comedian who brought us so much laughter. It’s a very strange feeling when someone that you don’t know personally dies and yet you feel incredibly sad and touched. Tributes continue to pour in on Twitter and Social Media sites:

Our long-awaited iPhone update is finally here! iPad users have been enjoying the brand new Creation 5 for a few weeks and now, the iPhone also takes on a brand new interface design and some great new features.
Update 4.0 – New Features
Sleek, lightweight new interface
Our iPhone and iPad apps now share the same design philosophy. The menu has been simplified and reorganised, allowing faster and easier navigation whilst taking up less than half the memory of the previous version!
Search for any YouTube video
We’ve added more functionality to our YouTube feature! You can search for any video on YouTube without having to leave Creation 5. Just tap ‘Video’ on the main menu, tap ‘Search’ and choose the ‘YouTube Video’ option. You can save the video to your favourites, add it to a playlist or download it for offline playback.
Our YouTube feature is normally an In-app purchase costing €4.49 but as we’re celebrating our new design and over 370,000 downloads on the App Store we’re giving this feature away for FREE for a limited time period.
Tutorials
When you open the app or navigate the menu for the first time, you’ll be greeted by introductory tutorials, guiding you through your first steps. You can access them at any time by tapping the ‘Info’ button.
Download Podcasts
After much demand, Creation 5 now lets you download your favourite podcasts for offline playback. Tap ‘Radio’ on the main menu, then ‘Search’. Choose ‘Podcasts’ from the content options and type in the name of the podcast and search. Simply hold the title and tap ‘Download’. You’ll be able to find your downloaded podcasts in the Radio ‘Favorites’ section.
Dropbox Integration
If you have music saved on a Dropbox account, you can play it on your iPhone, the Big Screen or your sound system using DLNA or AirPlay. You can also download your music files, with their album covers and enjoy your stored music on the go!
General Improvements
· Add Music to your favourites (previously only Video). You can find these favourites in the ‘Music’ section. · All the code has been revised to ensure Creation 5 is more robust and runs faster than ever. · You can now find additional information in the ‘Info’ menu.
