David Guetta – Hey Mama
ft Nicki Minaj

By | Music, Music Videos | No Comments

Days after performing their EDM-meets-rap track at the Billboard Music Awards, David Guetta and Nicki Minaj released the official video for their third collaboration. The energetic visual, which also features Afrojack and Bebe Rexha, sees dramatically dressed tribal dancers contort their bodies into all sorts of positions as revellers join them on a party bus that bears the sign “Department of Recreation”. It’s easy to spot Afrojack as he towers over everyone else at 6ft 10 inches!

The video is basically an artistic desert rave, based on the legendary Burning Man festival with a bit of Mad Max thrown in for fun! Directed by Hannah Lux Davies the video was filmed in a lakebed in El Mirage California, “I’m always really inspired by music festivals and the fashion that follows with that,” Davis told Billboard. “And Burning Man was something that felt like the energy of the song.”

Nicki Mirage, or rather Minaj, appears only as a hologram – her curves and boobs are still on full show though, don’t worry, as is her iconic pink hair.

Hey Mama is the latest cut from Guetta’s album Listen – it reached Nº8 in the UK and Nº22 in the US when it was released in November last year.

Taylor Swift – Bad Blood
ft. Kendrick Lamar

By | Featured, Music, Music Videos | No Comments

Taylor Swift debuted her highly anticipated music video for Bad Blood to deafening screams at the Billboard Music Awards in Las Vegas last night. Aside from Kendrick Lamar who plays ‘Welvin Da Great’ it’s an all-female mini superhero film, starring 18 gorgeous gals. Produced by Taylor Swift and directed by Joseph Kahn this epic action packed video sees Swift playing ass-kicking, cartwheeling alter ego ‘Catastrophe’ and the story centres around two girl gangs who wage war against each other.

The video is so jammed-packed with star power – Emmy winners, Golden Globe winners, Grammy winners, an Oscar nominee and iconic supermodels. The only other music video in history that has had more star power was Michael Jackson’s Liberian Girl (coincidentally produced in 1989) which had an incredible 30 A-list celebrities – including Steven Spielberg, John Travolta, Whoopi Goldberg, Dan Aykroyd, Olivia Newton-John and The Incredible Hulk.

Previously, Swift had revealed that Bad Blood is about a female singer – presumed to be Katy Perry – and their dispute over back-up dancers, which Perry allegedly stole from Swift. Last year Swift told Rolling Stone that Perry “basically tried to sabotage an entire arena tour. She tried to hire a bunch of people out from under me.”

Bad Blood is a remix of the original and is Swift’s 4th single to be lifted from her award-winning album 1989.

Last night Swift won 8 accolades at the Billboard Music Awards: Top Artist, Top Female Artist, Billboard Chart Achievement, Top Billboard 200 Album, Top Billboard 200 Artist, Top Hot 100 Artist, Top Digital Songs Artist and Top Streaming Song (Video).

Here’s the cast list for Bad Blood in full – each of these women chose their alter-ego’s names and personas.
Taylor Swift as Catastrophe
Selena Gomez as Arsyn
Karlie Kloss as Knockout
Kendrick Lamar as Welvin Da Great
Martha Hunt as HomeSlice
Jessica Alba as Domino
Serayah as Dilemma
Lena Dunham as Lucky Fiori
Hailee Steinfeld as The Trinity
Ellie Goulding as Destructa X
GiGi Hadid as Slay-Z
Hayley Williams as The Crimson Curse

Giorgio Moroder – Déjà Vu

By | Music, Music Videos | No Comments

Legendary Italian DJ & producer Giorgio Moroder and Sia have debuted their new music video for the dance-pop track Déjà Vu. Moroder plays a wise cab driver in the new visual which sees a gentleman meeting lots of Sia-like females in a strange hotel who lead him into recurring scenarios. A bit confusing, but the visual certainly captures the definition of déjà vu.

The new album, Déjà Vu, is Moroder’s first album in 30 years – a comeback that was inspired by his collaboration with Daft Punk on their Random Access Memories album back in 2013. After the work Moroder began Dj-ing again and finding inspiration from the crowds he played to.

“I felt so young. I mean, I’m 74, but I still felt like part of this young generation,” Moroder told Rolling Stone in a recent interview. “Some of those guys knew my songs and were not even born when they came out. It’s nice to hear a 20-year-old guy or girl sing along with the lyrics.” One of the tracks on the new album is called 74 is the New 24.

We’re certainly looking forward to June 12 when Moroder’s album is out – it’s jam-packed with brilliant collaborations.

Déjà Vu Tracklist:
01. 4 U With Love
02. Déjà Vu feat. Sia
03. Diamonds feat. Charli XCX
04. Don’t Let Go feat. Mikky Ekko
05. Right Here, Right Now feat. Kylie Minogue
06. Tempted feat. Matthew Koma
07. 74 is the New 24
08. Tom’s Diner feat. Britney Spears (Suzanne Vega cover)
09. Wildstar feat. Foxes
10. Back and Forth feat. Kelis
11. I Do This For You feat. Marlene

AronChupa – I’m an Albatraoz

By | Music, Music Videos | No Comments

We love AronChupa’s electro-swing ditty I’m An Albatraoz and this week the track made it’s debut on the UK charts, in at Nº25. The song, released in August last year, has gone completely viral, notching up over 153 million views on YouTube, going platinum in four different countries and gaining a Swedish Grammy nomination for Song of the Year. It’s one of the biggest crossover dance tracks in recent history.

The song isn’t about a large sea bird (Albatross) at all – “Albatraoz” refers to the band that AronChupa is part of. Albatraoz is a Swedish electro-hip hop group from Borås, formed in 2012 and the lines “I’m an Albatraoz” refer to being part of the band/fanbase. The opening lines translate to “Ladies and Gents Please Be prepared for AronChupa and Albatraoz Go!”

23 year old Swede Aron Ekbergand and his 18 year old sister, Nora Ekberg, who sings the vocals, have been thrown into the limelight – although neither of them seem to be caught up in all the hype. In a recent interview on Thump Aron said, ”The plan was just to show it to friends, really. Then it happened in Borås, right by Gothenburg in Sweden where we’re from, and then to the whole country. I thought ‘Man, that was easy…'”

Aron and Nora (you can say them both backwards) have been working together for a while, and now they’re certainly stuck together. “It’s good working with your brother since we know each other very well and we can always be honest. When Aron asks me something, he’s like ‘Nora, what do you think of this?’ and I can honestly say if it sounds like shit if I really think that.”

Aron doesn’t really give a poop about tags like ‘One Hit Wonder’.” Sometimes money’s boring, because we really made it for fun in the beginning. When money gets in the picture, it’s too serious. I wanna do what I love, do the music I love…”

“You have to be a little stupid to do make a song as weird as that,” laughs Nora. “I’m allowed to say you’re stupid, Aron. It’s okay.”

Head on over to Thump to read the full interview.

MIKA – Talk About You

By | Music, Music Videos | No Comments

Lebanese-British singer-songwriter Mika is back with the lead single off his forthcoming album and it’s a slice of cool, refined pop. Talk About You is upbeat, sweet and should do well on the airwaves this summer. Written by Mika and co-produced by Mika and Grammy nominated producer Gregg Wells (Katy Perry, Pharrell Williams, Adele, Rufus Wainwright).

The video was directed by New York based photographer and film maker KT Auleta. It has plenty of Mika’s trademark awkward dancing, which actually just makes it charming.

The video has plenty of shameless product placement – namely a Swatch watch, the new BMW i3 electric car and some incredible suits – but somehow manages to get away with it (at least it’s a break from seeing Beats headphones). Mika has been working with Swatch as their creative ambassador and is also collaborating with Italian fashion house, Valentino, producing Bespoke suits for his appearances on the X Factor Italy. We must say, the suits are awesome.

Mika has sold more than 10 million records and received Gold or Platinum awards in 32 countries across his previous three albums Life in Cartoon Motion, The Boy Who Knew Too Much and The Origin Of Love, winning Brit and MTV Awards along the way. Talk About You is the first cut from his fourth studio album No Room In Heaven (see cover art below).

Deorro x Chris Brown
Five More Hours

By | Music, Music Videos | No Comments

DJ Deorro had the biggest hit of his young career with last year’s Five Hours. A new version, now called Five More Hours, adds vocals from Chris Brown. Deorro and Brown seem like an unlikely pair – an American electro-house producer and DJ, who incorporated Melbourne bounce into his music, working with one of the world’s biggest R&B/pop acts. But it’s not the first time Brown has dabbled in this kind of music – Breezy has been known to use a few straight EDM beats. He sung on David Guetta’s I Can Only Imagine and also Benny Benassi’s Beautiful People.

“Sometimes I just make music and I don’t even know what I’m making,” Derro told Rolling Stone in an interview last year. “Who knows? I might start it off as an electro song and it ends up as an R&B song because I thought it sounded better with a different kind of kick pattern.”

These kicks are manipulated vocal snippets that he records into his phone. “I don’t want to go through patches and presets and allow someone else to create a sound and I later on find it in the bank or something. I create every sound by myself with literally just my voice and my iPhone. That’s taught me how to sound design. When you’re on presets, you’re really not learning anything. And it’s so cool to show the world that – that you can do whatever you want with sound.”

In the colourful video Brown is on his way to Coachella when his car breaks down. Fortunately for him a bus on it’s way to Coachella, driven by Deorro and packed with gorgeous girls, gives him a lift. The party gets started on the bus and never stops…Brown shows off his dance skills in the clip – certainly some of the tightest dance moves you’ll ever see by someone waring a tye-dye Grateful Dead T-Shirt!

2CELLOS – They Don’t Care About Us

By | Music, Music Videos | No Comments

Music’s most electric and dynamic instrumental duo, 2Cellos, have just released a powerful video for their cover of Michael Jackson’s They Don’t Care About Us. Looking like a scene fromThe Hunger Games or Divergent, Luka and Stjepan have created an evocative and cinematic visual with a poignant message.

The visual sees the pair dressed as opposing soldiers who represent pawns in a chess game and also pawns in a war as well. They symbolise individuals who are basically helpless against government rule and other controlling powers, such as the influential elite. The track is taken from their latest self-produced album Celloverse.

The comments on YouTube reveal how blown away everyone is by this creative and clever visual:

“They Don’t Care About Us might be one of my favorite Michael Jackson songs of all time. Well… +2CELLOS got their hands on it. This video is awesome!”

“MJ would be soooo damn freaking proud of you two! Best rendition of the song, ever!”

“+2CELLOS This is probably the best front page Youtube video in years, if not ever. I love how you pointed out those that play geopolitical chess and send us to war don’t really care about us.”

Adam Lambert – Ghost Town

By | Music, Music Videos | No Comments

Adam Lambert’s new music video for Ghost Town was directed by the legendary Hype Williams (Beyoncé’s Drunk In Love and Kanye’s Gold Digger videos), and features the director’s trademark strobing editing. The dancing is quite incredible – we’ve replayed it a few times just to take it all in. Lambert describes it as “Coachella gone goth”.

“A lot of the people that we hired for the video are friends of mine. It was really fun on set. It was kind of a party, which made it a very relaxed shoot – I’ve never shot a video like that before, that felt like a house party.” The 33-year-old was ultimately creating a group that “represents real parts of my life, ’cause I wanted it to feel like a piece of me.”

As a coincidence the title of the song is the same as Madonna’s recent single. Lambert admits he was shocked when he found this out. “This was done, it was mixed, we had already decided that it was the first single and then December rolled around and I opened up my laptop and looked on iTunes and there was another ‘Ghosttown,'” he says. “It was funny to me because I’m a huge Madonna fan and have been following her career ever since I was a kid and maybe there’s something in the universe going on, I don’t know. Maybe our writers all drank the same Kool-Aid. I don’t know what it was, but it was amazing.”

Ghost Town is the first single to be lifted from Lambert’s upcoming album The Original High, due for a June 15 release.

Ricky Martin – Mr. Put It Down
ft. Pitbull

By | Music, Music Videos | No Comments

Ricky Martin teams up with Mr Worldwide for a raunchy, upbeat disco-flavored jam, Mr. Put It Down. With Pitbull spitting out his signature licks and Ricky’s falsetto versus they make a great pair!

In one of the best lyric videos we’ve seen this year, all the action takes place in a tattoo parlour. Pitbull starts off by boasting about how good he is with the ladies and then Ricky joins in – “Who has a lifetime, baby? We’ve got the night right now. When you see what I’m planning, you’re gonna call me Mr. Put It Down.”

Ricky released his 10th studio album, A Quien Quiera Escuchar – a completely Spanish album, back in mid February and now we have the first single from album number 11. The new album is more of an international affair with all the tracks being in English and is scheduled to be released later this year via Sony Music Latin.

Conor Maynard – Royalty

By | Music, Music Videos | No Comments

For Conor Maynard’s last single, Talking About, he teamed up with Craig David, for this new single, Royalty, he joined forces with Labrinth. “He knew exactly what he wanted to create, in such detail that it took us three hours to record the first verse,” Maynard said on working with Labrinth.

“I had to sing in a swing/jazz style, which I never imagined I’d even attempt. Royalty really does sound like nothing else out there, which is such a rare quality in pop.”

Conor Maynard burst onto the music scene just four years ago as a YouTube sensation. He performed covers of well-known songs and they were so good that his viewing figures rose exponentially. Conor was especially happy when Timberlake – one of his favourite artists – watched his cover of Senorita and approved.

It didn’t take long before he was approached by record companies and in 2012 he collaborated with Pharrell Williams on his first album Contrast and found success in the UK and the US. This highly successful first album had an incredible four top 10 singles – Can’t Say No, Vegas Girl, Turn Around, and Animal. He now has nearly 700,000 subscribers on his YouTube channel and the first single from his upcoming album, Talking About, got 800,000 views in under a month.

Royalty is released on July 5 through Parlophone Records.

By | Music, Music Videos | No Comments

Puerto Rican reggaetón singer, music producer, actor and Latin Grammy winner Don Omar has an irresistibly catchy summer single on his hands with Perdido En Tus Ojos. Featuring his long time collaborator Dominican singer Natti Natasha the song is full of grab-a-partner-and-dance beats and is surging up the charts.

The song tells the story of a love sick man who is basically lost in the eyes of the woman he loves. The single is the second cut from Don Omar’s upcoming album The Last Don 2 scheduled to be released this summer.

The album features more collaborations with other latin stars like Plan B and Daddy Yankee. If the rest of the album is as good as this track, the King of Latin Urban Music, or El Rey, looks set to hold onto his throne.

37 year old Don Omar has sold more than 15 million records worldwide.

Jessie J – Flashlight

By | Music, Music Videos | No Comments

Beloved British pop star Jessie J has released a new music video for her uplifting single Flashlight, written by Sam Smith and Sia. Besides appearing on the soundtrack to Pitch Perfect 2, Flashlight is also featured in the movie as the finale in a breathtaking moonlit concert.

Before the concert you get to see Jessie J looking like one of the students in Barden University (aka the UCLA campus), rocking some leather overalls and belting out the beautiful track in the university gardens. Directed by Hannah Lux Davies, the video also shows a lot of unseen footage from the upcoming movie.

Jessie J premiered the video exclusively with ET online before uploading to Vevo the next day. In the interview with ET she talked about the song’s meaning: “I guess the ultimate feel behind the video and the concept is about giving someone something happy, you’re my flashlight,” she says. “Having someone that gives you light in moments of darkness.”

Yelawolf – Best Friend ft. Eminem

By | Music, Music Videos | No Comments

Slim Shady and his protégé Yelawolf pay tribute to the Father, Son and Holy Ghost in their soulful new music video for Best Friend. The track is the lead cut from Yelawolf’s second studio album, Love Story, which is currently soaring up the Billboard album charts heading for a top 10 debut this week.

Directed by Spidy, the video is a simple and powerful visual which sees the rappers delivering their verses inside an empty church with sunlight pouring through the stained glass windows. Yelawolf keeps it fairly calm whilst Eminem aggressively delivers more than 16 bars, as per usual.

Best Friend is the only track on Love Story that features a guest collaboration, and it marks Eminem’s first musical release this year. “There’s one feature on this album, and that’s Eminem,” Yelawolf told Complex. “Why am I gonna get such-and-such? For what? Hype? I’m just trying to make a good record.”

In a recent interview with MTV Yelawolf said that Best Friend was a perfect fit for Eminem. “The song was already really strong, and I knew that I was touching on something that was serious — or, to me, it was. The melody in the song, it came together, and I just thought, If Marshall, if he gets on this and understands this concept, that it would be outta here. So I just crossed my fingers and sent it to him. Luckily, he understood it perfectly, and obviously killed it.”

Most fans seem to be in agreement that the song is amazing. Nearly all the YouTube comments are positive – we rather liked the one: “Even though im an atheist I still love this song, both Em and Yelas part.” and this one: “God speaks in amazing ways. Through many people. ”

Dal Shabet – Joker

By | Music, Music Videos | No Comments

Korean Broadcasting System (KBS) have lifted their ban on Dal Shabet‘s new title track Joker. The reason they banned it is surprising – it’s not the sexy dancing or the sexy outfits, it was the lyrics that caused KBS to deem the video inappropriate, and they really were inappropriate.

In Korean “Joker” is pronounced as “joh-kuh” which is emphasized in Dal Shabet’s song as like “jot”, which means dick or cock. “Kuh” means big, so they were essentially singing about big cocks:

“Fill my heart from top to bottom,
I wanna, gimmie wanna baby, gimmie wanna baby, big cock, big cock,
I wanna, show me wanna baby, show me wanna baby, big cock, big cock.”

dalshabet

So now you understand the problem! Happy Face Entertainment, the agency that looks after the 6-piece girl group Dal Shabet, re-submitted a modified version of the song with several of the lines changed and KBS lifted the ban. With the lifted ban and modified lyrics the group are set to perform their comeback stage tonight  (April 24) on Music Bank.

The track comes from the girls 8th ‘mini’ album Joker is Alive and blends a retro-sounding horn section with some Britney-esque crooning and a beat that would get most people onto the dance floor.

J. Cole – Wet Dreamz

By | Music, Music Videos | No Comments

With a title like Wet Dreamz and the explicit lyrics that make you blush you would expect the music video to be soft porn – but this is so much better! J Cole has been very creative with his latest music video. The song tells the story of all the fears and doubts that run through a guys mind in the run up to losing his virginity. But instead of using human actors the Ryan Staake directed visual uses a German Shepherd and Cocker Spaniel puppy to act out the emotional story. The result is clever, funny and completely adorable – plus you can play it in public without worrying!

J Cole’s fans seem to love t too, as can be seen from the plethora of positive comments on YouTube:

– Pretty funny actually, did not expect dogs telling the story of him getting laid 🙂

– I laughed throughout the entire damn video. Well-made. A great metaphor for how love encompasses the entire damn animal kingdom, and it’s simply told through his dog’s eyes but the video still ends with J.Cole (shot at his and his girl’s feet on the bed). Any video that brings about multiple interpretations is a good damn video.

– Oh, this was adorable and well done. I love a well told story and using dogs perspective was highly entertaining – had me blushing…

This is the 4th music video taken from Cole’s third studio album Forest Hills Drive (2014) which went to Nº1 on the Billboard album charts – moving 375,000 units in the week ending Dec. 14, according to Nielsen Music. It’s Cole’s third Nº1 album.

Sia – Fire Meet Gasoline

By | Music, Music Videos | No Comments

Today Sia shared her new music video for Fire Meet Gasoline from her latest album 1000 Forms Of Fear (2014). It’s the first video from the album that doesn’t star Maddie Zeigler – but to make up for that Sia has enlisted German top model and TV Personality Heidi Klum and Chilean-American actor Pedro Pascal, who portrayed Oberyn Martell on HBO’s hit series Game of Thrones. The last time we saw Pascal on screen he met his horrific eye-popping demise – so you’ll be pleased to know that his face is back to normal in this visual!

Directed by Francesco Carrozzini the video shows the steamy love affair between the pair. One can only guess at what has happened and our guess is that Pascal’s character has killed someone inside their house – he reveals a bloody rock to Klum – so they burn the whole house down to destroy the evidence. Whatever did happen, one thing is for sure, they get along like Fire and Gasoline.

Refreshingly, there are no Beats headphones in this music video, but there is still plenty of product placement in the form of Heidi Klum’s exclusive range of lingerie. Better than headphones, right?

As usual Sia never appears in the visual but her blonde wig does – you get a glimpse of it right at the end of the video.

Major Lazer & DJ Snake – Lean On
(ft. MØ)

By | Music, Music Videos | No Comments

We can’t stop listening to Major Lazer’s Lean On. It’s an Indian-reggae culture mash-up full of positive vibes! In case you didn’t know Major Lazer is a music project created by American DJ and record producer Diplo and consists of Diplo, Jillionaire and Walshy Fire. The track is a collaboration with French DJ and producer, DJ Snake with guest vocals by Danish rising star MØ (featured on Iggy Azalea’s single Beg for It.)

The electronic music tycoons headed to the Indian countryside to film the music video for the track. We see some Bollywood-inspired choreography and a traditional Indian dance troupe. The video was directed by Tim Erem and shot in Mumbai in December last year. Here’s what Diplo had to say about the experience:

“India is special and its beauty absolutely humbled me. When we toured there as Major Lazer, it was mind blowing to see our fan-base and we wanted to incorporate the attitude and positive vibes into our video and just do something that embodies the essence of Major Lazer. Major Lazer has always been a culture mashup and to us, India feels like some kind of special creature with one foot in history and one firmly in the future. The experience is something we’ll never forget.”

The track has reached Nº1 in 5 countries and the Top 10 in 9 countries. It is now racing up the UK charts and is currently at Nº13. It is taken from Major Lazer’s upcoming third studio album, Peace Is The Mission, to be released in June.

DeJ Loaf – Me U & Hennessy

By | Music, Music Videos | No Comments

Dej Loaf, the pint-sized MC from Detroit, has been on everyone’s radar ever since her 2014 club anthem Try Me blew up on the charts. Her brilliant Sell Sole mixtape (2014) and a deal with Columbia Records have put her under the spotlight. Now, with the release of the super sultry Me U & Hennessy, she seems to be the next big thing for female rap.

Me U & Hennessy is an intimate, romantic song – a heartfelt sex ballad really, and the first time we have seen this side of the 24-year-old rhymer. Marshawn Lynch of the Seattle Seahawks recently named her as one of the “hottest females in entertainment”. Some rappers have even written songs about their affection for her.

At the end of the video we hear Lil Wayne’s voice and there follows a “To be continued” message teasing a remix of the track featuring him. Yesterday (April 20) the remix was released and it certainly turns up the heat! Weezy gets down to business with his sexually explicit verse, singing about codeine and Adderall, threesomes, doing it doggy style and no TVs reporting bad news.

ft. Daddy Yankee

By | Music, Music Videos | No Comments

Wisin, Carlos Vives & Daddy Yankee have hit Nº1 on Billboard’s Latin Airplay Chart. The video was filmed over a few weeks by director Jessy Terrero at a luxury, Miami mansion on Golden Beach. It’s full of eye-candy – gorgeous dancing girls, a sleek black Lamborghini, a BMW i8 and an over-the-top luxury beachfront mansion.

Nota de Amor (Love Note) gives Colombian singer Vives his 10th Nº1 on the list whilst Puerto Rican Wisin grabs his third Nº1 as a solo act and 13th Nº1 in his career. Puerto Rican rapper-singer Yankee gains his fourth Nº1. According to Nielsen Music the track recorded 11.4 million audience impressions during the week ending April 12.

Avril Lavigne – Fly for Special Olympics

By | Music, Music Videos | No Comments

Avril Lavigne debuted her new track Fly on Good Morning America last week (April 16) and announced that all of the net proceeds will go to the Special Olympics. “I wanted the athletes to be the stars of the video and, just like the message of the song, to show the world that they can overcome the challenges and that everyone is meant to shine,” she shared.

The video includes footage of Avril’s visit to a Special Olympics program in Shanghai last year, as well as scenes of athletes participating in the Special Olympics. We also get to see Avril singing the song in what looks like her home recording studio (the pink microphone is a dead giveaway).

Lavigne herself is just recovering from a year long battle with Lyme disease. “I went from doctor to doctor for about eight months until I found somebody that had the knowledge of Lyme disease and the experience of treating it.”

The 30-year-old was bedridden for five long months, but it did give her the perfect time to create and focus on new music. “I’ve never had so much down time in my life, so it’s been good in that sense. It’s just about inner strength and courage. This song took on a whole new meaning for me while I was sick, which was pretty magical.”

This video was created by Avril Lavigne and Special Olympics in celebration of the Special Olympics World Games Los Angeles 2015, and inspired by the Avril Lavigne Foundation.

David Hasselhoff – True Survivor

By | Music, Music Videos | No Comments

80s icon and former Knight Rider and Baywatch star David Hasselhoff has just released a new single – True Survivor – and it’s an 80s synth rock dream! The track is lifted from the soundtrack of King Fury, a martial arts comedy film that was completely funded on Kickstarter. 17,713 backers pledged $630,019 to help fund the movie, which is slated for a May 28 release. On Kickstarter the film is described as “a visually spectacular action comedy that has its foundation in ’80s cop movies.”

As you might expect, the video is completely crazy. The Hoff takes on numerous villains, including Nazis and robots, whilst sporting an 80s-style mullet and leather bomber jacket. Gunfights? Dogs with lasers for eyeballs? Hitler? Kung fu? A giant viking? Explosions galore? Dinosaurs? Sure! The video was shared on Twitter by Jared Leto who wrote, “Say THANK YOU for putting this in your life.”
